Firefox - Bookmarks Toolbar : Keyboard Shortcut

You must be wondering that a keyboard shortcut for Bookmarks already exists - "Ctrl+B" and what the heck is this shortcut. Okay... let me cut the crap and come to the point.

This is about a Keyboard shortcut for Bookmark toolbar rather than Bookmarks. With the new firefox (9 or later) the page size is bigger (Menubar is pushed under top-left corner).
I always wanted the Firefox developers to do yet another cleanup on the screen, which was bookmarks toolbar. I wanted to have a keyboard shortcut like "Ctrl+B" to toggle the bookmarks toolbar but found all sorts of complicated methods to achieve it on the internet that not only involved installing the extension but also involved adding a Firefox code fragment to make it work.... OMG!!! there has to be an easier option.... and yes, I figured this out myself the other day....

Objective: To make "Ctrl+B" as the keyboard shortcut to toggle the bookmarks toolbar.

Steps:
  1. Install the firefox extension "Hide Bookmark Toolbar"
  2. Install the firefox extension keyconfig
  3. Press the key combination : "Ctrl+Shift+F12", which pops up a window to edit the firefox keyboard shortcuts.
  4. Select the Bookmarks bar which has "Ctrl+B" as the shortcut and click "disable" and close it.
  5. Go to Firefox -> Addons and Select "Extensions" from the left navigation panel
  6. Select "Hide Bookmarkbar" and click "Options", which opens up a window to edit options.
  7. Change the hotkey option - change the letter from "L" to "B" and unselect the "Alt" checkbock to ensure that the effective hotkey is "Ctrl+B"
  8. Restart the firefox and enjoy the "Ctrl+B" option to control the bookmark toolbar
