I always used to blame the Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in India - that they can never provide a stable and reliable internet connection, but now I understand that I was wrong. Blame it on International Bandwidth operators as they charge 2 times that of US and UK.

Thanks Amar for giving a bigger picture. Now, I understand that slow speed is due to lack of nationwide backbone in India.
