SUN + MySQL= New Era

At last, SUN Microsystems completes acquisition of MySQL (open source database). SUN paid a whooping $1bn for the acquisition, which is the biggest ever of any open source software company. MySQL offers a free community edition, whereas its enterprise edition costs $595/server/year.
